FAQ

We've done our best to answer commonly asked questions below. If you can't find the answers you're looking for, please free to reach out to us at hello@wecoexiste.com.

Your Pet

  • Which size do I need for my pet?

Our small homes are 23" high with an 18" base and a 30" top. Our medium homes are 26" tall with a 20" base and a 34" top.

We recommend basing your decision off the height of your dog rather than the weight.

The Small is best for cats and small dogs(Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, etc.). The Medium is best for medium breed dogs(Beagle, Collie, Cocker Spaniel). Please see detailed specs on the product page. Unfortunately we cannot yet accommodate large dogs.

  • Can I crate train my puppy with your homes?

Congrats on the new addition to your family! The Ripple is durably made and includes a door if desired, but it was not designed for puppy crate training. We recommend “graduating” your pet to the Ripple once they are fully house-trained.

  • How do I get my dog used to their new home?

You'll want to introduce your dog by feeding it in the home to start. You might also want to have your dog go into the home for treats. Soon, the Ripple pet home will become a safe, beloved retreat for your dog.

  • What if my pet doesn't like it?

Since our products are manufactured on-demand, we cannot accept returns unless your pet home arrived damaged. However, we can recycle your product. Send us an email to orders@wecoexiste.com and we'll be happy to help!

  • Which is better: cats or dogs?

We could never choose! Both will love their new home from Coexiste.

Care & Assembly

  • How do I assemble my pet home?

Follow the easy assembly instructions here

  • How do I care for my Ripple pet home?

The body of the Ripple is made from highly durable 3D-printed polymer composites. For weekly cleaning, we recommend the brush head on your vacuum cleaner or a clean broom. For deeper cleaning, hose down the body of the Ripple and let it air dry. Use a very light coat of mineral oil to buff out scuffs. For deeper cuts, sand the edges(using 320-grit or higher sandpaper), and then apply mineral oil to smooth out. To clean other stains or marks, use isopropyl alcohol. Acetone is not recommended, as it will degrade the base polymer in the composite. The Ripple is made to be used and loved and can withstand sunlight and a wide range of home temperatures.

  • How do I care for the wood?

Dust regularly with a soft, non-abrasive cloth, always following the grain of the wood. Should your furniture need cleaning, use a soft damp cloth, then quickly wipe dry. You will not need to wax or oil the wood materials. Please do not polish more than once a month and avoid silicone-based polishes and all commercial cleaners. To prevent light and dark patterns from developing in the first year of ownership, please keep your furniture away from windows and make sure to rotate or periodically remove items placed on their tops..

Wood tends to “breathe” with changes in moisture and humidity. Extreme exposure to heat can dry out furniture and cause it to crack. Prolonged contact with water or dramatic increases in humidity can cause furniture to swell, warp and split. Always use a coaster or other protective padding when placing hot dishes or cold beverages on your furniture.

  • How do I care for my Sleep Round?

Both the cover and the bed are machine washable, just be sure to remove the bed from the cover.

  • Will the wood top and bottom scratch?

Can the best be scratched? Of course. Something as innocent as sliding a book or board game across a table can slightly mar a finish. Scooting a heavy vase or serving dish can leave a scratch that is particularly visible on darker finishes or in harsh lighting. Think of it this way, over time, the story of your family will etch itself in your furniture. But you can still take some commonsense steps to minimize the evidence.

    • Don’t scoot any item over the surface; pick up and place.
    • Use coasters under drinkware, pads under serving dishes, felt pads under lamps and pottery.
